SECOND MINOR OF 2009

Tonight is the second MINOR event for the AWPT of 2009. Tonight's game is Omaha H/L, (pot limit). Which last week, most of you took part in our Omaha H/L exhibition to get us practiced up. Even others of you played in this weeks PLATINUM CLUB game that was also Omaha H/L. So go now to the FORUM and get your password, and sign in.
Non-Members LOOKING FOR THE PASSWORD, you will not find it on our FORUM or anywhere on this site. The only way to get it is to JOIN the AWPT. TODAY ONLY join and get BUY ONE GET ONE on the length of membership.
Winter Minor 2

On Sunday, February 22nd, the AWPT will be playing the second minor tourney of 2009. The game, Pot Limit Omaha Hi/Lo. This game seems to be the theme game of the month. Our Platinum Club events are PL Omaha. We also played a Minor practice tourney in Omaha on Sunday, February 15th, won by Fake McCoy.

Platinum CLub Event #2

Our second Platinum Club event is in just a couple weeks. Our first event was a huge success, and we look to build on that success and have a great second event. This time however we have lowered the buy in of the event, to $24+$2. The last event was a NO LIMIT Hold em game, and this one will be Omaha Hi Lo.
There will be three feeders for the main event, $1, $5, and $10 buy in. So all different buy ins to fit whatever level player you are. The passwords are currently on the FORUM, and the events are posted and are ready for registration. So go there now!
THE FIRST PLATINUM CLUB

In our inaugural platinum event last week, AdAdAbsurdum was the big winner taking down this marathon 3 hour NL hold’em tournament for a whopping $182. This puts AdAdAbsurdum in the early lead in our year long contest for a seat to the $150+$13 65k guaranteed tournament on FTP. Coming in second for $98 was AWPTMoneyMan, followed by dewgills, Killer Rat, tracer01, Fake McCoy and wizwip.
While we had a relatively low turnout for our first event, some changes are being made to help more league members get involved. The buy-in will be reduced to $26, and there will now be 3 feeders each month, from $1 rebuys to a last chance $10 feeder, and remember that you can always win a $26 satellite token on FTP.
We will soon have the complete updated schedule of events posted on the calendar in the forum, so take a look and remember to play as many as possible to have a chance at the $163 buy in grand prize at year end.
2008 AWARD WINNERS!

PLayers from around the globe, (well all in the US) this week received their 2008 PLAYER OF THE YEAR AWARDS. We are started to get pictures of them now. AS they roll in we will be posting them to the AWPT FaceBook group, (we may also place them on the FORUM if I can just figure out how to shrink them). So if you are not a member of the AWPT FaceBook group, or if you don't have your log in for the FORUM...PULL YOURSELF TOGETHER and get on board!
